Saudi Paper Group starts up new tissue line at Saudi Arabia mill
Comment Print

Saudi Paper Group has started up its new PM5 tissue production line at its facility in Saudi Arabia, a turnkey project that increases its annual tissue production capacity by over 60,000 tons, according to Toscotec.

The new AHEAD 2.2S tissue machine has a sheet trim width of 5,600 millimeters and a maximum operating speed of 2,200 meters per minute. It is equipped with a TT NextPress shoe press, a TT SYD Steel Yankee Dryer, and a high-efficiency TT Hood. The line also includes two OPTIMA2600L slitter rewinders and a stock preparation plant with two separate lines. The mill's automation is managed by the TT Brain DCS platform.

The production from PM5 will primarily supply facial tissue, along with towel, napkin, and toilet paper products. The new line integrates fully with the mill's existing operations.

The start-up of PM5 strengthens Saudi Paper Group's position as a leading tissue manufacturer in the GCC and MENA regions. The company produces a wide range of tissue products for domestic, regional, and international markets.
