Green Bay Packaging expanding with new facility in Wisconsin
Print

WISCONSIN (From news reports) - Green Bay Packaging is expanding in Washington County.

The company announced a new state-of-the-art facility will be built along the Holy Hill corridor in Germantown.

The 270,000 square-foot space will be used for increased manufacturing capabilities and streamlined operations. The facility will feature cutting-edge equipment, including a 6-color plus 1-color inside RDC, a litho laminator, and a specialty folder gluer.

With the new facility, the company can retain its current workforce and plans to create 20 additional jobs.

The project will be designed and built by Briohn Building Corporation, which recently completed several new industrial and manufacturing buildings in the Germantown area.

While the facility does not convert recovered paper into new paperboard, it engages in downstream functions for GBP corrugated materials, including those made at its recycled-content mill in Green Bay, in which it invested $500 million earlier this decade. The mill consumes old corrugated containers (OCC), mixed paper and other recovered paper grades.

Operations at the new Great Lakes Packaging Division of Green Bay Packaging are expected to begin in the fall of 2025.
