PrintSTATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (From news reports) -- The FDNY responded Thursday morning to a fire at the Pratt Industries paper recycling facility in Travis.
Firefighters and emergency vehicles were seen entering the location at about 9:30 a.m. May 7 after reports of a fire in the pulper area, according to emergency transmissions.
The blaze quickly escalated, rising to a two-alarm fire at approximately 10:35 a.m. and then to a three-alarm fire about an hour later. One firefighter was reportedly injured.
