Fire at Kruger facility in Ontario causes $50,000 damage

ONTARIO (From news reports) -- There are no injuries following an industrial fire in downtown Gatineau.

Thirty Gatineau firefighters responded to an attic fire at the Kruger Products facility on Laurier Street in Hull at 11:12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11.

Crews arrived to find the fire was spreading from the attic into the roof and a second alarm was declared.

It took over two hours to tackle the fire which was declared under control shortly after 1:30 a.m.

The fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
