Print
Memphis, Tennessee, USA, 30 May 2012 -- One man was killed and four other persons were injured in a  major explosion and fire at Verso Paper’s mill in Sartell, Minnesota, just before noon on 28 May. The mill, which has been producing paper for 105 years, was indefinitely idled by Monday’s events. The majority of the damage was contained to part of the paper warehouse. The fire was brought under control with assistance from 14 mutual-aid fire departments, five police departments, and water from a state patrol helicopter. About 50 workers were in the area at the time of the explosion.
