HAWESVILLE, Ky. (From news reports) -- According to Manager, Communications and Government Relations of Domtar, Tammy Waters, on March 29, 2023, at approximately 4:45 p.m., an incident occurred at the Domtar Hawesville mill when three employees were injured while making repairs in the recovery boiler area.

All individuals were transported to the hospital. Two employees have been released from the hospital and a third remains in a medical facility receiving treatment.

An investigation of the incident has begun, and proper authorities have been contacted.

"We are committed to doing all we can to ensure the health and safety of our employees," said Waters.
