UPDATE: Lincoln Paper and Tissue, LLC
Print

Lincoln, Maine, USA 11 November 2013 -- We continue to work toward maximizing output to service our customers in both paper and tissue.  All three tissue machines and one paper machine are now operating, with plans still being developed to get the #5 paper machine operating as well.  In addition, we now have plans in place to run the pulp mill at a reduced rate in order to make pulp internally as well as to help heat the facility during the upcoming winter months.

We also continue to work with the insurance company and others to determine the damage and extent of repairs required.  Once this process has been completed, the action plan to repair or replace the recovery boiler will begin.  While a significant challenge to any integrated pulp and paper facility, we are confident that we have the resources, employees and support needed to emerge from this as a better, stronger company.
