Sofidel Grows in the UK

Porcari, Lucca, Italy 01 October 2013 -- The tissue paper producer acquires NTG Papermill Limited in Lancaster area. The acquisition enables Sofidel to optimize the operations of its converting plants in the UK.

Sofidel, one of the leading European manufacturers of paper for hygiene and domestic use, is pleased to announce that yesterday, Monday 30 September 2013, reached agreement for the acquisition of the shares of NTG Papermill Limited in the UK.

The agreement signed with NTG Ltd becomes effective as of today, October 1st.

The paper mill, that is located in the North West of England, Lancaster area, is equipped with a paper machine with a capacity of approximately 32,000 tonnes per year.

“Through this acquisition we further strengthen our production capacity in a major market place such as Britain. It is a move that enables Sofidel to optimize the operations of its converting plants in the UK” said Luigi Lazzareschi, CEO of Sofidel.
