Södra Timber Initiating Sales Collaboration in Poland
Print

Stockholm, Sweden 11 June 2014 -- "Wood Brokers has a broad contact network throughout Poland and has already undertaken efforts to establish new customer contacts on our behalf," said Håkan Svensson, President of the Södra Timber business area.

"Poland is a new and attractive market in the surrounding region, with both a wood products industry and a building trade, whose needs we can satisfy with our range. We believe that our Southern Swedish wood products will compete favourably in the country," added Svensson.

Exports of sawn timber from Sweden to Poland totalled 150,000 cubic meters in 2013, corresponding to an increase of 20 per cent compared with 2012.

"Exports to Poland are expected to continue to rise in the future, and we want to be part of this growth. This represents a step in this direction,"  concluded Svensson.
