Graphic Packaging Closes Quebec Paperboard Mill

Atlanta, Georgia, USA 13 July 2015 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Graphic Packaging International Canada, ULC, a subsidiary of Graphic Packaging Holding Company (NYSE: GPK) announced that it closed its thermo mechanical paperboard mill in Jonquiere, Quebec effective today. This decision was made as a result of a thorough assessment of the facility's manufacturing capabilities, associated costs and market demand for its products. The closure will affect approximately 140 employees.

"The closing of the Jonquiere facility was a difficult decision. We are working closely with the affected employees to provide support and assistance," said Mike Doss, President and Chief Operating Officer.

The company anticipates one-time costs of $4-5 million in the second half of 2015 related to this closure.
