Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, USA 29 January 2018 -- (From news reports) -- A fire at the Verso Paper Mill in Wisconsin Rapids damaged a maintenance room on Saturday night.

The fire broke out around 8 p.m. Saturday night (27 Jan) in the ventilation system of the maintenance room of the mill, said Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department Chief Bob Barteck.

The fire was extinguished in under an hour and a half, but fire crews remained on scene to ventilate smoke out of the building.
