Augsburg, Germany 10 March 2017 -- Paper merchanting operations will be ceased at the end of first half 2017.

Germany's paper merchant Deutsche Papier Vertriebs GmbH is closing its doors. Paper merchanting operations will be ceased at the end of the first half 2017.

The decision to cease operations and retire from the market followed a thorough review of the market conditions and the company's position. In this process the company's management has come to the conclusion, that even investor-based solutions would not sustainable change the company's situation, Deutsche Papier explained to EUWID.

Deutsche Papier was founded in Februar 2016 by the insolvency administrator of Paperlinx's German subsidiary Paperlinx Deutschland. The company employs 35 people and is serving its customers from the sites in Augsburg and Wuppertal.
